I would say my strategy worked as far as helping me come up with a few leads that I chased up at some point after that and they enabled me to find some rather usable info about the where abouts of the person. Like I said this is not the best method on how to find someone for free but it is worth a try – if you have the opportunity to create something that can get forwarded by a lot of people.

A Reader’s View of Debi Pearl’s book, Created To Be His Help Meet

An article entitled “Slave Labor” has circulated on the internet for several years. It was part of a chapter from a 1954 Home Economics textbook to be taught to high school girls. In summary, the girls were taught to be good housewives by preparing their homes, their supper meal, and their children for the arrival of their hard working husbands. “Try to make your home a place of peace and order where you husband can relax,” is the final point. Treat him like a king, and view yourself as his servant, it was saying.

Those women who would consider such a suggestion as indeed an invitation to “slave labor” or, as a leading feminist called it, “a pleasant concentration camp” would not welcome Debi Pearl’s book, Created to Be His Help Meet. In fact, Debi herself was tempted to leave out some of the not-so-politically-correct material for fear it would diminish sales. However, her husband Michael advised her, “If God thought it was important enough to inspire it as part of His Word to us, then you should include it”.

For those wanting God’s message to them, this is a great book. Her teaching is based on Scripture, not on popular ideas that come and go. Debi did a thorough study of the role of women in the Bible to prepare for this book. Her teaching is based on the truth that God designed women unique and important, but different in their purpose. The role for married women is to do all she can to make her husband a success. Attempting to take on the man’s role will result in damage to her marriage, her children, and herself.

It took four years, thousands of hours, many tears, revisions and distractions, but I finally finished my book. I had no idea God had so much to say to us ladies until I began going through God’s Word verse by verse, writing the different sections of Created to Be His Help Meet.” These words are from Debi herself.

The book could be summarized in the phrase, “Quit trying to make your husband into the man you think he should be and, instead, allow God to make you into the woman He designed you to be”. The result will often be, surprisingly, that God will use you to change him. In other words, if you treat him as a king, he may well treat you as his queen. However, this dare not be her reason for wanting to respond correctly.

 

Most women whose marriage is far from what she dreamed it would be feel they are the exception to the principles presented here. The author does not ignore these and gives many illustrations and answers questions from various difficult marriage situations. She also deals with intimate subjects in a discrete but clear manner.

A clear endorsement of the book lies in the fact that, at this writing, it is in its 8th printing in less than 4 years. Yes, some pastors have even banned the book, but the many letters from husbands and wives whose marriages have been transformed by what Debi teachers here are a clear witness that it is Biblical and that woman have an important role in God’s plan.
