When Quite A Few Young Men Who Work In Construction Display Irresponsible And Abusive Drinking And Face Possible Divorce Or Post Divorce Problems

I work with many young guys who work in construction who display excessive and heavy drinking. After working very hard for eight hours, it seems “logical” to go to the local tavern to have a drink or two with one’s pals. Often, however, it seems that the well-intentioned beer or two turns out to be a circumstance in which many beers are ingested, several dollars are spent, and several hours are spent at the local tavern instead of spending time with their family, wife or girlfriend, or with their friends.

Excessive and Abusive Drinking Can Lead to Relationship, Friendship, and Marital Problems

Is it honestly all that surprising in these circumstances that more than a few these hard working guys suffer from alcohol induced financial difficulties in spite of the fact that they make quite a lot of money? How comflex can it be for my hard working buddies to grasp the fact that abusive and heavy drinking often results in marital, relationship, friendship, and possible divorce difficulties? Why are these alcoholism and alcohol abuse signs so hard for these construction workers to see?

Unhealthy and Abusive Drinking Can Lead to DUIs, Work Problems, a Host of Health Problems, and Various Mental Health Issues Such as Depression

Should it actually be shocking to anyone that my hard working pals could receive a DWI almost any day or night of the week? Is anyone truthfully taken aback when these hard working men start to make mistakes on the job due to their heavy and abusive drinking?

Does it honestly shock anyone to know that these construction workers eventually complain about alcohol-related health problems such as hangovers, alcohol poisoning, a loss of energy, and sleep disturbances? Is it actually unpredictable that many of these construction workers are beginning to have various mental health issues such as depression? Why can’t these hard working guys “see” these alcohol abuse effects?

To a relatively great extent, these hard working guys have gotten into a dysfunctional situation that is leading them to a life of alcoholism or alcohol abuse. My wish is that my hard working buddies will ultimately see that abusive and heavy drinking isn’t their “friend” and that they need to talk to their physician or somebody at the local drug and alcohol rehab center about their drinking problem.

Concerning the drinking behavior exhibited by these hard working guys, the major point of emphasis is that honesty is required. Indeed, my hard working friends, similar to others who involve themselves excessive and abusive drinking, need to look at their actions and make a factual appraisal of what abusive and irresponsible drinking is doing to their mental health, to their finances, to their jobs, to their relationships, and to their health. In short, these hard working guys need to understand the alcohol side effects of their drinking behavior.

There’s Room For Hope If Those Who Engage in Excessive and Hazardous Drinking Can Become Motivated to Get the Alcohol Rehab and Alcohol Detoxification They Need

My hard working friends need to get inspired and motivated about wanting to make a beneficial change in their lives. Stated differently, these construction workers need to get motivated to go to their doctor or to the local drug and alcohol counseling clinic and find out if they are mainly abusing alcohol or if they are alcohol dependent. Based on this information, my hard working friends then need to get the alcohol detox treatment and the alcohol rehab they need.

The fortunate news is that there’s an almost limitless number of rehab programs, treatment centers, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and drug and alcohol treatment clinics where my hard working buddies can get top-of-the-line rehabilitation for their heavy and irresponsible drinking. And with some exertion, it’s even possible to find drug and alcohol treatment clinics, rehabilitation facilities, rehab programs, hospitals, and treatment centers that are relatively cost effective.

Top-Shelf Alcohol Abuse or Alcoholism Help Can Begin With a Single Phone Call

There were without a doubt times in the past when top-of-the-line help for alcohol addiction or alcohol abuse was more expensive and far less available that it is now. Due to the significant increase of alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency in the past ten or fifteen years, it can be noted, an alcohol addicted person or an alcohol abuser more often than not has few, if any, common sense reasons for failing to address his or her excessive and hazardous drinking.

In point of fact, to begin the change process all it often takes is a short and to the point phone call to one’s physician or to someone at the local alcohol treatment center. Thereafter, lasting sobriety necessitates commitment, follow through, and a sincere desire to change one’s negative style of life.
